First Words with Peppa. Level 4. Dens; Ladybird, 2021

First Words with Peppa is a levelled reading series of Peppa Pig stories. The stories are suitable for children who are learning to read, and for children who are learning English as a foreign language.

First Words with Peppa is based on the Dolch Sight Words list - the 220 most common words found in children's English-language reading material. Each Storybook introduces around ten Sight Words. These words are repeated regularly throughout the story. It is through this repetition that children become familiar with the words and begin to recognise them. Any words in the story that aren't Sight Words, character names or important nouns, are phonically decodable so that children can use their phonics knowledge to read them.

Dens, a Level 4 Storybook, introduces the following Sight Words: best, call, don't, five, goes, green, its, made, many, pull and us.

Peppa and her friends love playing in Peppa's treehouse. Then, Grandpa Pig makes a new den with a door that goes up and down. Which den will they play in now?
